| PulpitTalk, a quarterly audio journal on CD, is designed to give you a fresh look at sermon preparation and the tools to preach the scriptures with clarity and power. This audio journal is produced by the Center for Preaching at Gordon-Conwell Seminary.
Volume 3 includes:
Fall 2004 - Doing Conclusions Do you want to end your sermons in a powerful way that will help your audience remember what your sermon was about? By listening to and evaluation various conclusions, the Center for Preaching faculty will teach you how to bring your sermons to a "burning focus."
Winter 2004 - The Preacher's Personal Life Contrary to what our culture believes, your personal life is
important. In this issue you will hear about balancing family and ministry and how to nourish and protect your own soul in order to
feed the souls of others.
Spring 2005 - Illustrating Effectively Listeners have a hard time remembering a sermon's points
but they are likely to remember the stories. This issue will
teach you how to add impact to your sermon through illustrations.
Summer 2005 - Tough Topics: Homosexuality One of the more pressing cultural issues of our day is the issue of homosexuality and homosexual marriage. The Center for Preaching would like to help you think through this tough topic by giving you relevant biblical teaching as well as pertinent advice on how you can address this sensitive issue from the pulpit. |
